Frik Olwage, a Graphic Designer of occupation, has extensive knowledge of and a passion for nature, especially the desert and semi-desert areas of Southern Africa. Eco Ventures was born when his passion for sport and nature became his job. Frik was part of the organizational team, as well as a participant in the 780km Namibia Trek and competed in the Madagascar’s 600km ‘Mada Raid’.

The first South African Eco Challenge, the 300km Africa Raid, was organized by Frik and his team. Using all his experience in Eco Challenges, he designed the 301km and 101km Eco Ultra Walks, that is today South Africa’s own and unique Pilgrimage and Holiday Walks.
